Catalogue # DROG-772
The latest release by the Bird Sisters includes a full
complement of excellent self-penned new songs. Moving forward
from their previous two albums, this recording marks a departure
from the largely a cappella album "FLO". Songs like "Am I" features an anthem like
all-woman chorus, performed by over thirty of their musical
friends. "Thousand Ages" is fueled by a driving
percussion back beat, and Vadala's "Laura's Song"
is a powerful emotional sequel to "Carley's Song"
from their highly acclaimed CD Different
Stories.
Initial responses indicate that this CD may garner the
Bird Sisters major public acclaim that they richly deserve.
Produced by John Switzer (Jane Siberry, The Waltons,
Grievous Angels) and
the Bird Sisters, this album features full band arrangements
on most tracks, and includes guest performances by an impressive
list of Canadian musicians.
