Different Stories contains a mixture of introspective and insightful songs written by the Bird Sisters, as well as a magnificent version of Hoagy Carmichael's "Skylark" arranged for the trio by Tony Quarrington. CO-produced by the Bird Sisters and Canadian folk veteran Ken Whitely, the album includes guest performances by Lewis Melville (Skydiggers, Rheostatics), Jeff Bird (Cowboy Junkies), Dave Clark and Tim Vesely (Rheostatics).

All the material is delivered in the inimitable style that has become the trademark of the Bird Sisters' sound - warm, bold, and full of rich, inventive harmonies. Several of the songs on this album have been playlisted by radio stations across Canada and the United States and over five thousand copies have been sold, giving this CD "indie gold" status.
